Who can attend camp thrive?
Campers must:
• Be a minimum of 18 years old
• Have a primary diagnosis of intellectual or developmental disability or cognitive delay
• Be free of aggressive or threatening behaviors
• Have the ability to ambulate and transfer independently
• Be able to perform activities of daily living independently with prompting, cueing, and reminders
• Be able to follow a schedule of activity
Is there any age cap for campers?
There is no age cap. Daymark is a multi-generational neighborhood and Camp Thrive is no different! Our community currently serves residents from age 19-66.
Where is Camp Thrive located?
Camp Thrive is located on Daymark Living's campus in Waxahachie, Texas. Just 30 minutes south of Dallas.
How many campers are in each session?
There will be 8-10 campers per session. In addition to their fellow campers, they will also be taking classes and participating on campus with the 65 residents who call Daymark home.
What if neither of these session dates work for our family?
If neither of our scheduled Camp Thrive sessions are convenient, contact our team at 972-646-2162 to set up a custom trial stay at another time.
Is Camp Thrive a day camp or an overnight camp?
