April 5th, 2021 - Consolidated Planning Group & The Handley Law Office

Guardianship or Alternatives to Guardianship – Which works for my family?

What do you do when your loved ones cannot care for themselves, either partially or completely? We all want our loved ones to live meaningful lives but sometimes they may lack the capacity to do so independently. That’s when a discussion about Guardianship and Alternatives to Guardianship is prudent.

April 6th, 2021 - Best Buddies International

Same Path, Different Perspective!

Many people (and society in general) are under the impression that people with disabilities do not have goals or cannot pursue them. In fact, many people I have worked with have never been asked the question - "What do you want to be when you grow up?" In reality, people with disabilities DO have goals, many of them the same or similar to goals that you have for yourself - to go to college, to work, to live independently, to get married, have children, travel, retire, etc. So how can we support and encourage our siblings in their pursuit of happiness? You're about to find out.

April 7th, 2021 - Mass Mutual Special Care Team Houston

We will also address the considerations and conversations that are important to have during the planning process between parents and siblings, from a sibling and professional standpoint.
